RugbyFest - 22-24th September

RugbyFest - 22-24th September

On the weekend 22-24th September, Rugby school in Rugby is playing host to a what seems to be the perfect weekend for fans of the sport, with everything from Kids rugby, to beach rugby to 9's and 10's, and even a full 15 a side 'Baabaas' style game boasting some very established names in the world of rugby.

Those events are the tip of the iceberg too! I'm not going to list all the planned events on here in detail, because I want you to go and check out their Facebook page (with a website coming soon as well at so that they can fill you in on the full details of the weekend firsthand.

I've also been shown the list of confirmed players for the 'Barbarians' match, and it's an impressive old list! I'm not sure it should be up to me to tell you who's playing, mind, so I won't name names, but rest assured there are several 50 cap plus players, guys in the first season of their retirement, maybe a couple of guys you may recognise instantly from Lions tours, or world cup wins, even a couple of guys called Shane.

On January the 17th, they're also looking or volunteers to help with filming a TV advert for the event, contact Mark (on the email below) or check the header picture on the blog for details!

If you would be interested in the event, the links are above to find out more, however, they are also offering some sponsorship packages, for which you can contact the organiser, Mark Dunkley by emailing

NOTE - This is not a #rugbyunited event, just one that I think is worthy of some promotion via our channels. Any questions regarding the event, please save us all some time and contact Mark and his team. Us lot at #rugbyunited will be no help to you at all!!!

I'm sure we'll revisit RugbyFest throughout the year and I'll try to keep this blog updated to contain any updates as opposed to rewriting a new one, but best of luck to Mark and the team. I'm sure some of us will see you in September!
